A proposal drafted by Hindsight (ProNouns: NFT/OG) with the support of Jarmen (a man struggling to tell his wife he is a zebra on the internet) and Sam Ellis (Chief Meme Officer)
This proposal requests that the DAO fund a project for 500 eth in order to proliferate the Nouns by running a competition, open to anyone, to convince Mr. Beast to give away $500k (340 Eth), preferably to charity, on his YouTube channel, given to him by the Nouns in a Nounish focused episode of his show.
The person or people that convince Mr. Beast to do this will be rewarded with a $250k prize.
The $250k Reward will be awarded to the person or people that Mr. Beast credits with convincing him to accept the challenge on the following terms:
So it might be a good idea for people to submit ideas to Mr. Beast that inspires him to meet these criteria.
If this proposal passes but no one can convince Mr. Beast to take on and complete the project within the next 9 months – all the Eth will be returned to the Treasury. Total Cost of 0 Eth.
If this proposal passes and someone is successful in convincing Mr. Beast to feature the Nouns in the most watched show on the internet while hopefully giving a lot of money away to good causes it will have a Total Cost of 500 Eth.
He is the most watched person on the internet (with over 100m subscribers and up to 300m views on his videos), so I think Nouns featuring on his show would bring awareness to Nouns, NFTs, DAOs and Ethereum to millions. In doing so, it will allow people to see the great creative initiatives that Nouns are working on and have funded (e.g.73) as well as charities it has supported (e.g. 104 ,42 ). On top of this I would hope it will showcase the ability of a decentralised network of people to raise funds and successfully deploy those funds in innovative ways that leverages its community to make big things happen!
Mr. Beast already has a good awareness of crypto and he has a history of giving to charity at a large scale too so hopefully he will be able to bring awareness to all of this in a thoughtful, considered, and fun way.
I can imagine some Nouners balking at the $250k prize being paid to whoever can convince Mr. Beast to take on this challenge, which is understandable.
My goal is to create value for the DAO and while one could argue that people will take on this challenge for a smaller amount – we just don’t know if it would be as effective and ultimately it will always be a guess as to what the right figure is.
The goal is to mobilise 99.9% of the internet and get them interested in making this happen through the incentive of a big reward. And while no one can be certain of the exact figure that would be most effective, what I do know is that $250k has a high chance of success. It will advertise itself by getting people talking about it and it will massively increase the chances of the challenge being accepted. I believe we would rather potentially pay more to increase the chances of success.
While it is a lot of money, I think it presents extremely good value. Price is what you pay and value is what you get. If no one can make it happen, nothing gets paid out and the price is zero. But if someone does make it happen, a $750k price to have the Nouns featured on the most watched show on the internet will provide great value.

The funds will remain in the multisig until either the challenge is accepted or converted back to Eth and returned to the treasury after 9 months if the challenge is not accepted.
