I really appreciate the idea of Nouns pushing into different art styles. I also have talked with the team and believe that they have strong backgrounds to approach this type of work thoughtfully.

My main concern is with the sequencing. The beauty of CC0 is that you can execute first and receive approval later. Instead of funding upfront as an official branch within the DAO - a designation that I’m uncomfortable with for any proposal - launching a derivative and then seeking retro funding for approval seems like the way to go.

Would love to see the team go ahead and execute this as a derivative, regardless of the proposal outcome. That would help build support in the Nouns community and not require an “official” designation upfront before anyone sees the approach.

Agree with others on uncertainty re: people behind the project and the end result. On top of that, doesn't feel very aligned with nouns overall branding.

I like a lot of this, but something feels off. I'd love to see more professional photography and nouns being a part of that. This prop in particular lacks clarity in the longer term plan in regards who else will be involved, but I'd like to see the seven pieces. Maybe there's a possibility for retro funding something along these lines so everyone can see the results.

Voting against for the simple reason that the art vibes and subject matter proposed diverges too much from where the Nouns brand currently stands. Agree that sensuality / sexuality / nudity doesn’t fit in Nouns culture yet, IMO this would be more a disruption than an extension / proliferation.

This proposal has many parts that don't seem to fit and requires the reader to do the work. Establishing a different branch of the DAO, through photographs, that will be part of a droposal, but only a few? I don't quite understand where it's all going. The right proposal could persuade the DAO to expand the Nouns brand into this domain, but it needs to be coherent and compelling.

Nouns is a family brand to me. Would love to see this prop over at ENERGY, although we need to raise more funds in our Treasury first.

Against this for a few reasons but mostly i'm unsure if it's nounish; It's unclear who is proposing, what artists they'll onboard aside from Guido, and if the artist(s) or proposer really understands nouns/if that will come through in this body of work.

i'm generally here for us diversifying the way nouns shows up, but this subject is a VERY delicate one and it feels like if we're going to do it, it should be done in a very thoughtful way and by reputable, trusted folks. don't think this prop meets that bar.

I don't love that we literally have no idea who is behind the prop. Pseudonymity is cool because you can get a sense of reputation/past track record, but first-time prop anonymity especially post-fork feels more ripe for opportunists and I'd want to err on the side of caution. The artist is the one person we do know and have had their fair share of controversy around model compensation and other things, so not super confident here.

I am generally a fan of the idea. this version, something seems off. I side with Prof on her thoughts here, however am NOT against the genre or the artists involved.

feels off to me. personally I think nouns x nudity is a weird combo in a similar way to nouns x violence is a weird combo. of course nouns is cc0 and anyone can do anything with it but I don't feel the need to fund / subsidize the activity.

also in general, anon is fine but new to the dao anon prop I feel weird about. who dis? is a fair thing to ask if you're asking $10k from the dao.

Personally anxious about how overwhelmingly male the dao is, and what it means for the sort of long-term cultural impact we will be likely to make as long as our voter base contains such an obvious bias in shared experience.

Not sure the extent to which this prop amplifies the issue (we only have the photos/artist provided to go off of wrt to claims of "inclusivity" etc). However, since it seems to clearly tread on the subject of gender-normativity, I think I will generally defer to the voice of the dao minority, especially if they have been vocal on a specific prop, as is the case here.

So, +1 werder, at least until further examples or addtl background are offered that indicate a richer diversity of perspectives.

Not really sure where I stand on this proposal, however I think showing the diversity of nouns brand to go beyond cute characters to sexuality is an interesting experiment. Let's see what happens.
