Donate 51 ETH for humanitarian aid to Ukraine through the Rescue Toadz (https://rescuetoadz.xyz/) project and incentivize people to donate more.
Rescue Toadz is an NFT collection of 18 toadz in which 100% of the funds are donated to Ukraine via Unchain Ukraine (directly coded in the smart contract). The project has a special bidding mechanic that encourages people to donate more.
The interesting thing is that you can not only mint toadz, but also match or increase the last donation for an already minted toad and it will automatically be transferred into your wallet. The toad will then drop its noun glasses as POAP in the wallet of the original holder.
This mechanism is coded directly in the smart contract and a toad owner cannot prevent the toad from hopping into another wallet. The idea is that this will encourage people to donate more. If they want to keep their toad they need to increase the price of the donation or acquire back the toad if somebody donated more.
The idea is to gamify the donation experience so people will donate more. For example, NounsDAO can donate for already minted toadz and “steal” them from the previous owners. Some of them will then donate again to get their toad back.
The goal of the proposal is to donate 0.2 ETH for 5 toadz that are already minted and “steal” them from the previous owners and also raise the prices for two other toadz to 10 ETH and 40 ETH respectively.
The following transactions shall be executed if the proposal is approved:
Donate 5x 0.2 ETH for Rescue Toadz #2, #5, #6, #11 and #16
Donate 10 ETH for Rescue Toad #15
Donate 40 ETH for Rescue Toad #8
Donating 51 ETH through the Rescue Toadz project has the following benefits:
Funds raised by NounsDAO to help Ukrainian people recover from the war
Raised popularity of the Rescue Toadz charity project, so more people start donating
People that had their Rescue Toad taken from them are incentivized to get it back by donating again.
