We want to throw the world’s biggest (decentralized) pizza party, again! This year, we’re requesting $69,420 to support PizzaDAO’s fourth Global Pizza Party for Bitcoin Pizza Day on May 22, 2024.
We’ll use the funds to buy pizza and fund Nounish activities at our pizza parties across 150+ cities around the globe on May 22. Learn more about PizzaDAO here.
This proposal directly funds the purchase of 12,000+ slices of pizza from independent pizzerias as well as Nounish activities for Global Pizza Party participants:
PizzaDAO is the proud steward of “We Pizza” Noun 292 and is committed to expanding the Nounish ecosystem through our events and network of contributors.
Through the success of our Global Pizza Party in 2023 and many Nounish PizzaDAO conference events throughout 2023 and 2024, PizzaDAO has demonstrated that we are a well-aligned partner that can help proliferate Nouns to every corner of the globe. Our Global Pizza Party in 2023 brought together 9,300+ people in over 116 cities across more than 65 countries. This year, we’re excited to spread the fun of PizzaDAO and Nouns to even more places.

We are a global community of hackers, pizza enthusiasts, NFT creators, collectors, artists and rebels who believe in using crypto to make the world a better place.
PizzaDAO’s community is made up of new entrants to the industry and members who have been in the crypto space for years, including Nouns DAO members, CryptoPunk holders, Gitcoin KERNEL Fellows, and hackathon winners. PizzaDAO alumni now work on countless other projects in the crypto space, a direct result of our commitment to onboarding, education, and fun!
Collab.land made a short film with PizzaDAO founder Snax to get beneath the cheese and into the sauce of PizzaDAO. It’s a fun and approachable piece of content to show newcomers to the blockchain ecosystem.
To date, PizzaDAO has given away over $750,000 worth of real, edible pizza in more than 75 countries. You might have eaten some during previous global pizza parties or at NFT.NYC, Art Basel Miami, NFT Paris, NFT Sydney, ETHDenver, ETH CC, Token 2049, SXSW, NFTLA, or one of the many smaller events we've supported.
PizzaDAO first came together on February 18th, 2021 to make the generative pizza NFT Rare Pizzas, a collaboration between 314 international artists who each contributed a different topping. We’ve gone on to raise over $1M through the sale of the NFTs, as well as build strong partnerships with many organizations in the blockchain ecosystem, organizing three global pizza parties and a large number of community events.
As we grow, our goal is to build solutions for independent pizzerias (software, marketing, consulting, etc.) and conduct individual fundraisers to buy pizzeria real estate in partnership with local pizzerias and their communities.

Bitcoin Pizza Day is already the one de facto crypto holiday. Together we can accelerate this celebration of cryptocurrency and pizza into a truly global event. The internet, cryptocurrency, and pizza are all global phenomena. Bringing them together by throwing a global pizza party funded by the blockchain is a strong invitation to the general public to join our ecosystem. We think that’s pretty Nounish!
We onboard communities one slice at a time. Our goal is to Nounify Bitcoin Pizza Day while creating touch points with potential collaborators through IRL activations at community events. Nouns assets will be integrated throughout PizzaDAO’s marketing materials, events, and branding to highlight the partnership, presenting Nouns as the headline partner to PizzaDAO’s Global Pizza Party 2024.
Having Nounish gear present at our pizza parties makes a lasting impression on our guests. Nouns Pizza Party Kits featuring props and swag will be sent to organizers to allow attendees to participate in Nounish photobooths and other IRL activations and co-branded material will be visible to attendees throughout the event and on social media.
We’ll fund the creation of Nouns x PizzaDAO NFTs by Nounish artists, promote the mints on socials, and display minting QR codes at premier parties.
PizzaDAO will work closely with Gnars and Nouns Esports to host activations at events in Rio De Janeiro, Melbourne, New York, Austin, and potentially more cities. We invite all Nounish DAOs to get involved this year by hosting activations at our events in major cities around the globe. We hope that these activities will serve to grow each Nounish DAO’s community on the local level, building a stronger global Nounish network. In particular, beyond Gnars and Nouns Esports we’d like to shout out Lil Nouns, Public Nouns, Nouns Amigos, Nouns Running Club, Nouns Amigos, Purple DAO, and The Yellow Collective and invite them to join in on the fun.
We’re helping pizzerias around the world use crypto to empower their businesses while giving back to their communities. We believe that we can assist businesses to become community owned by tokenizing the pizzerias in our network using open source technology. Beyond that, we believe that pizza is a public good and that Rare Pizzas’ Art to Pizza model can be replicated to solve some of the world’s biggest problems while spreading joy (and sauce).
We intend our Global Pizza Party to be an accessible and fun way to get introduced to and utilize blockchain technologies. Plus, throwing a global party is a good team-building exercise for Spaceship Earth!
