I hope this event will be fantastic and that more people outside our nounish circles can attend and enjoy Dreamland throughout the year. As for onboarding people, yes, I'd love to see more builders and bidders so we can keep doing extraordinary events like Nouns Can Dream and others.

While this iteration is still not quite a 'hell yeah' prop for me (in part due to the current macro economic situation) , it is a big idea, and im in favor of Nouns funding big ideas.

Aside: I still really wish you would make something like a noggles grind rail (or similar) a permanent feature of Dreamland. It could be something subtle yet familiar to the initiated.

While i was really hoping to have this be a bit more focused and price brought in a bit. it wasnt because I didnt like the spend. just the bundle.

A fren told me to "take the noggles off. see the vision" and so in the grand scheme of the world and Nouns at larger scale. I approve of the Prop in totality.

Undoubtedly bob will continue in the web3 and the providing skate and life stewardship to the youth of Brazil and abroad.

Skateboarding has become an integral part of Nouns. Many people have gotten to know Nouns through skateboarding. And proliferation like this is one of the right media to make Nouns known by many more people. Keep it up Bob!

I love that fact that Bob Burnquist is a voting member of Nouns, and I think making Dreamland nounish is high impact.

Evident by looking at the prop that Bob is plugged into the DAO and interested in finding collaborative opportunities, and that should be encouraged.

Hoping this passes and nounish things start happening in the LA skate world and beyond.

I agree with the benefit-cost ratio not being there for Nouns on this one, I love the idea and I grew up as a skater but it does seem like an event that we would do better as a sponsor for rather than funding the entire project that isn't open to the public.

I want to start by expressing my deep appreciation for the engagement and support from the community regarding the NOUNS CAN DREAM proposal. Your thoughtful feedback and votes have been invaluable in shaping this initiative, and I’m grateful for the collective effort to bring this vision to life.

It’s clear that many of you see the unique opportunity this proposal presents to expand the Nouns brand into the global skate culture. There’s strong support for the potential long-term impact of transforming Dreamland into a Nounish cultural landmark.

However, there were also important concerns raised at 2 Nouncil calls I participated in regarding the budget and the necessity of ensuring that this event delivers not just immediate value but also lasting benefits for our community. I took this feedback to heart and worked diligently to revise the proposal to better address these points. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the final edits I made did not get saved, and the earlier version went on-chain.

Despite this, I believe the current proposal still holds significant value. The event at Dreamland will serve as a powerful vehicle to introduce Nouns to new audiences and deepen our community’s cultural impact. I’m confident that this initiative will foster long-term engagement and growth for the Nouns ecosystem.

Same feedback I gave during the Nouncil call, for me if this proposal was just for the event & was in the 50-80k range I could see myself voting for this, but looking at the current state of the treasury I just think the budget is still a bit high.

Please believe I have the best of intentions with this feedback.

Although this prop contains a lot of text, I’m still struggling to envision what Nouns really gets out of it. The event as described sounds like a generic skateboarding event that happens to be Nouns-themed. If that is the case, why is Nouns paying for the entire thing instead of just being a sponsor? If Bob is so passionate about Nouns (which I don’t doubt), why will the installations only be there for “up to” (i.e. less than) a year instead of permanent? Why does Bob need to be paid for his time, when he’s already getting facilities enhancement and media exposure?

If the prop were for a sponsorship, in which Nouns pays for the creation of the installations and a bit of a sponsorship fee, it would sound pretty cool to me. But the proposal as submitted doesn’t look like a good benefit to cost ratio.

Echoing our previous vwr - Having Bob in the DAO brings a unique level of credibility, influence, and reach. When Burnquist hosts a skate comp, it’s a little different compared to most of us organising IRL event. We’re talking about one of the most iconic skaters of all time - not to boost any egos, but it's just the truth. His connections and influence extend across the entire extreme sports world and further.

We know we sound like a broken record, but breaking into new communities and introducing them to the possibilities within this dao is key for us here at the deli. This sounds like an epic event and we are extremely jealous we cant attend. ⌐◨-◨

I appreciate bob sticking with nouns, the desire to see this prop through is earnest and I appreciate that it’s been scaled down a couple times. I also like that the prop has shifted a bit to focus on event + dreamland as a cultural touchpoint for nouns x skate culture.

That said, I’m not convinced simply having nouns branding at dreamland for a year + allowing nouners to visit the facility is going to move the needle much. We need to involve as many skaters as possible, not just let them admire bobs park from afar. I’d be more interested in something like nouns skate academy, or nouns running some small scale camp Woodward type thing. (Was my dream as a kid to go to Woodward!) Obviously Woodward is an extreme example and really within the scope of what we could accomplish now, but it’s the sort of vision I’d like to see from nouns x extreme sports.

Also, I don’t like the idea of props passing simply because they’re attached to nouns town. If events want to run alongside nouns town while many folks are there that’s great, but we already spent 300k on nouns town and every prop that passes because it’s associated to NT means NT is really costing us the full sum.

Time to Skate!

This prop makes sense to me for 2 main reasons.

Number 1, the most obvious: it’s an extension to Nouns Town when a lot of ⌐◨-◨ will be in the area.

• people need different tools to tell their version of the story of Nouns - for some it’s esports, others need waves and surfboards, canvases or lines of code. For Bob it happens to be Skateboarding and an integration at Dreamland. We should provide Bob the tools to do what he does best.

I hope to see this coming to life
