We have come to offer the opportunity for Nouns to become a title sponsor of Launders LAN 2, a new and rapidly growing Counter-Strike tournament series hosted in Toronto by CS2 commentator and content creator Launders and Shab, co-founders of In-game corp.
We are seeking a grant from Nouns of 39,125 USDC to power Launders LAN 2. We are Mohan "Launders" Govindasamy and Alex "Shab" Parsons. We have recently led a high-profile series of Counter-Strike LAN events and together with Nouns, are aiming to organize the biggest Canadian Local LAN in history.

A LAN (Local Area Network) tournament is an esports competition where teams ranging from amateur to professional come from around the world to compete for pride, exposure, and prize money in a high-pressure environment connected solely over ethernet for the purest experience. These "LANs" are widely considered breakthrough events for all future professional players and are the incubator for the greatest success stories in esports.
Amazingly, last month a top performer from Launders LAN 1 was already signed by premier North American organization, M80:
For Nouns, becoming a major part of a sold-out local esports event is a no-brainer. We found each other because we are both passionate fans of our new industries, are intimately entwined with our respective communities, and want everyone else to join in and learn more about the thing we love. Launders LAN 2 will be a billboard that represents both of our budding niche interests as one and will spread the word about Nouns DAO as a positive and powerful force in esports on the ground floor, where all of the most dedicated fans are.
With this grant, we will together make history in esports by offering the largest Canadian local LAN prize pool of all time while simultaneously running a majorly anticipated tournament that is expected to sell out instantly. Shab and Launders have fallen in love with organizing community events and are planning to create history in the gaming space over the next few years and would be more than proud to turn Nouns into a key partner moving forward.
We have already garnered a significant amount of coverage from news websites such as ESI, esports.gg, Dust2.us, HLTV, and Reddit, and that was without breaking any prize pool records and having an age restriction of 19+ (which will be lifted for LL2).
Here is a video of Launders speaking to the audience at Launders LAN, explaining his vision for these events.
"FLUFFY AIMERS", champions of Launders LAN 1 holding the hilariously oversized cheque
Prize Pool - 18,175 USDC
Brand integration - 13,500 USDC
Supporting Operational Expenses - 7,450 USDC
Notes for Transparency:
Launders LAN 2 expected cost: 66,375 USDC (Remaining costs will be covered by In-game corp. with ticket sales, booth sales, and additional sponsorships)
Dates: November 30th - December 1st, 2024
We are looking forward to building a strong future with you in Counter-Strike, and beyond. ⌐◨-◨
