For a project that has received funding before, I think $250K USDC is a lot of money. Will it be worth the feedback that will come back to DAO later? I don't think so. Moreover, we have invested a lot in Farcaster and to increase the investment again for me needs more innovation than this proposal.
But I like the dedication of this team, hopefully they can come back with a better proposal!

I have really enjoyed watching Nounspace evolve. I find the notifications center better in some ways than Warpcast. Eager to see mobile support. Generally, I support product-driven growth for Nouns.

I'm looking forward to seeing better ways to act from Nounspace vs. having it be a profile/home/aggregator of other information. The latter it's doing well so far. The former is an opportunity.

And, related to that, expanding beyond the Nouns DAO/Nounish DAOs ecosystem. And even better, then help those new users find their way into Nouns. Understanding what that roadmap looks like would boost my confidence even more. If Nounspace can figure that out, Nouns gets a product-driven, social-driven flywheel.

To me, governance is the big opportunity, but it's tough to balance beiing an aggregator for other governance tools vs. working towards a unified experience.

Willy has my support! I see the vision for onboarding and awareness beyond Nouns. Absolutely Down once again.

After trying the product, my opinion is that nounspace shows potential, but has not yet found pmf. While I appreciate Willy's enthusiasm and commitment to nouns, I'd like to see the problem nounspace is trying to solve more validated before going ahead with another round of funding.

I really admire Willy's enthusiasm and ability to ship. Nounspace is the only product of 3 in the nouns x farcaster round that actually shipped, which is great and in my eyes has saved that initiative from being a total waste. Props to you and your team for shipping on time and delivering what you promised!

Thank you for listening to feedback from the candidate prop. I appreciate that you opened up the product to all users, not just nOGs holders. This was important to me as someone wanting to try out the product but not yet wanting to commit to making a purchase.

I spent some time this weekend playing around with nounspace. I think the product shows potential, but is perhaps not quite there yet. As far as farcaster and social experiences go, the feed fidget feels too similar to the experience I'd get by simply going to warpcast, so I'm personally not finding as much value from this sort of integration. I also found myself craving a way to explore peoples profiles in more depth. The explore tab is a good start, but only having one window's worth of space means you can't customize your space enough to make it feel worthwhile. Tabs could help here, and are a good product idea to prioritize.

Personally I wouldn't spend time building iOS app right away. I think nounspace is still in the stage where it's finding pmf and should iterate on core features in the web app before building for mobile. Out of the ideas given in the prop, I'm most excited by:

• channel spaces (could be cool to let a channel and it's users collaborate on creating a shared space, maybe this is a new social dynamic to experiment with)
• smart contract fidgets / more fidgets
• 50/50 on fidget SDK (I feel like I'm nerdsniped on this being a cool idea but I think the reality is it might be tough to get people to use the SDK and build fidgets until nounspace has shown more signs of pmf)

Hey, Tom, Willy and team! First off, being the only team to deliver an MLP in just three months is already a strong reason for you guys to secure another round of funding. We think Nounspace is a great product with a lot of potential, and since Nouns has committed a lot into building a nounish Farcaster client, it makes sense to back the team that’s delivering.

Although the team’s passion is clear, we’re not entirely confident that Nounspace will reach self-sustainability within the next six months, especially considering the projected revenue. We're voting FOR because we want to see you keep building, but we strongly recommend revisiting the business plan and refining the path toward self-sustainability.

This has been a very exciting development in the nouns x farcaster space. I've been very supportive of building on farcaster and this is an interesting application.
I would love to see more users and PMF as has been mentioned. And would be more comfortable with a smaller funding ask here, but ultimately, I am supportive.

My main gripe with this project is that the initial idea of "what if myspace x farc x nouns" was never really validated with potential users, and indeed its not clear who the target user is or how you aim to reach them. In this situation, doubling down on building more features (eg fidgets in your case), polishing the app, extending to mobile, etc almost never works bc there are deeper running flaws with the basic idea and GTM. (I regret to admit im familiar this from first-hand experience -- happy to chat about it if i can be of help.)

Unfortunately, this fact, coupled with some of your strategy/comms choices in the past, leads me to have low belief in this idea and i find it hard to justify a 250k ask.

Unsolicited feedback, hope its well received:
If youre determined to build something in the farcaster and/or nouns landscape, i would take a big step back and find crystal focus on who your user is (by name) and how you aim to get them to use your app. If you did that and show promising result i would consider funding a much lower ask for you to experiment, bc your passion does shine through.

For those that don't me, my name is Vlad and after over 2 years of participating in nouns, primarily through Gnars, I finally made my nounishness official when I won the auction for noun 1232, my perfect skateboard head forever noun. Although I worked at ShapeShift for the past 2 years, which is where I met willywonka, I come from a web3 social media background, working on platforms like LBRY, Odysee, Hive, and Lens. About a month ago I left ShapeShift and joined nounspace full time, and it's been the best month of my life. I couldn't be more stoked about the team, the vision, and the opportunity.

No decentralized network can thrive with just one dominant front end, and that’s why nounspace is so important. We’re not just building another client—we’re building the connective tissue that brings together the diverse and vibrant tools in the Nouns ecosystem. This is a chance to consolidate and amplify the power of Nouns across the entire metaverse.

The dedication and genius of the team I’ve had the privilege to work with, including Julian, Jesse, Ryan, Cam and Willy, who I've witnessed achieve the impossible at ShapeShift, Giveth, and now nounspace, fills me with immense pride and confidence. Together, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with web3 and farcaster, and I’m excited about the impact this project will have on the future of social in Web3.

I understand that some have concerns about our long-term vision and sustainability, but I believe in the transformative potential of nounspace, its assets and the revenue generation opportunity, but we need to dev it first and we already got so far with so little. I'd like to support a smaller version of this proposal....perhaps another 3 month run to continue to build things out, and also see the engagement level now that is it open to everyone.

I've been a supporter of Nouns x Farcaster from day 1, and this project has been my favorite to come out of that. I support it as I would love to see it become a more popular alternative to Warpcast.

Though I also largely agree with @jkm.eth - I think there is a big need to lock down PMF and have an action plan to really get sustained user growth.

I'd really like to see so me Nounish mechanism design. Payments for creators or something. We need to crypto native community to have a reason to use nounspace.

Nounspace makes exploring the web3 space fun again. I want to see where this goes.

Here's more context on the problem nounspace is solving and our solution: Humans spend more than 1/3 minutes online on social media, but so much of the content that users, communities, and orgs create happens outside of social. Our thesis at nounspace is that social is where it makes sense to bring all of this together, and customizable spaces and configurable mini-apps (aka Fidgets) on top of Farcaster are the solution.

We've only scratched the surface of what's possible with Fidgets, but the current selection should paint the picture. The exciting unlock will be the Fidget SDK so anyone can build their own. Nonetheless, you can see examples of users already putting the available fidgets to use, including the 3 we just released this past week: Links (like link tree), SnapShot (participate in governance for over 75k spaces), and Swap (swap & bridge across 25 chains with no fees).

You’ve done a great job delivering what you promised, you’ve built a lot, and it looks great. However, I still don’t really understand the vision and end goal.

I watched your latest pitch video. Although it poses the question “what is the point of all this?”, it goes on to say the goal is to make Tom the most popular person (on his own platform?). I’m sure it’s meant as a joke, but it leaves the question unanswered.

I’ve checked out a bunch of spaces that have been set up so far, and many seem to just be iframes for other websites or a list of casts. I don’t really see anything social about it. It feels like the users don’t know what they are supposed to do with this product, and if you don’t either, I don’t think throwing money at it will help us all figure it out.

You’ve requested a path to sustainability, but for 2% of the treasury, I think we should expect a VC-level explanation of how you can make that work. Right now the PMF and vision are just big unknowns, and I don't think any VC would take this deal.

I'm open to funding smaller experiments to see what sticks.
