For a sunset prop, I would love to see the source code be available on Github so that community can reuse your work. I will vote For if source code is available.

Firstly, I think the work zeroweight has done with the voting bot on farcaster. I have personally used it several times. Moreso before I got my own Noun. The reason for my no vote is because I think it should be open sourced before sunsetting. I think this should be the bare minimum for Nounish projects (specially those sunsetting) as cc0 would suggest.

I'm going to actively abstain on this one. I basically don't even know what zeroweight is, but some people do know and appreciate their efforts.
Normally I would vote down in this situations, but I do love people developing and helping nouns through software, so I'm going to abstain just for the sake of future builders understanding they can get retroactive funds based on their usage of the software they built for us.

Noun 747 is perfectly suited for zeroweight 🤌

Before getting noun was the best way to interact with governance and will always have an impact in me and hopefully for people to come

Zeroweight broke down the usual barriers, letting the community get involved without needing to own a Noun, making it a core part of what "Nounish" governance stands for. The retro reward highlights its impact: bringing in new members, real participation, all without expecting anything in return. In a space often controlled by big players, it's crucial to support community-driven efforts. Zeroweight gave a voice to those who are often unheard, kept governance open, and showed why backing initiatives that lift the community matters.

there's an interview of Brian Armstrong that's been going around on X recently where he discusses how he launched Coinbase while working at AirBnB:

3-4 hours everyday after work + a full weekend day. 20+ hours of personal time spent every week for about a year and a half before being accepted to Y Combinator

many people come to Nouns hoping to make a full-time living off of Nouns, and probably for good reason when the history of massive revenue and exorbitantly well-payed props is taken into account.

Nouns contributors need to get scrappy if we're going to thrive and survive. if a code illiterate like me can create a fully functioning auction site over a weekend with Claude (https://fragments-tan.vercel.app) I think we've really got to consider whether CompSci industry salaries are wholly justified, or a remnant of the ZIRP era pumping cash into tech stocks

Index has been emblematic of this, living out the principles of the Nounish Commandment: do good with no expectation of return, create positive externalities, embrace absurdity & difference, teach people about nouns & crypto, have fun.

This was a useful experiment that brought additional attention from outside nouns and should be rewarded. BUT I’m annoyed that Index didn’t put a prop up himself as he knows from the many “wen prop?” messages over the past year.

retro rewards are nounish

Zeroweight is fantastic, I hope it continues, but even if it doesn't I'd say about 2eth/month is a perfectly acceptable retro reward for both that initiative and index's continued nounish innovations. (nouns.game in particular is fantastic already, hope to see a prop to bring that home soon!)

I love the idea of zeroweight and appreciate Index for creating it. While I am new to the community I can see that their work has had a big impact and is very Nounish.

Like bagpipe says, this is bigger than governance, and I also hope that it would motivate more Nounish experimentation should it pass (from everyone).

Re: "limited funding requests", unsure Index has ever been funded? There are few individuals, if any, on this many multi-sigs, that are responsible for executing hundreds of votes for hundreds of people, + building their own governance client ( 🕹️ ) unfunded, all for the love of the game.

Re hiro: imo you summed it up pretty well - "wonderful" & "nounish". ZW continues to carve out it's own lane, with the development driven by the community (the entire thing only exists due to the broader Nounish community voting with 0 weight). One has to be pretty in-tune to make this happen in the first place, and then dedicated enough to actually consistently vote (not even Nouncil voted on as many props as ZW over the past year). This retro covers an entire year of an individual acting selflessly, expecting nothing in return, playing nouns in an honest and new way. Imo this is a great signal to others and will hopefully inspire more novel gameplay at Nouns.

Voting for index, he's worked tirelessly on nouns for years with limited funding requests.

His contribution is far greater than the request of this proposal.

Hopefully, this keeps Index motivated to continue to develop additional project and do the thankless work he does for the Dao.
