TL;DR: This project is a true Nounish experience, bringing together artists and surfers to develop the first ever Nounish surfboards. These boards feature a unique asymmetrical design, symbolizing the decentralization of Web3 and our community. Each one will be adorned with artwork inspired by the Nouns universe, created by a diverse group of artists. The initiative includes a premiere exhibition event, celebrating the surfboards before they are distributed to athletes through a giveaway and incorporated into public goods initiatives. Every step of this project will be documented in high quality CC0 content, ensuring its impact spreads far and wide across multiple channels and partner networks. Throughout the one year execution period, we will have ample time to handle all logistical aspects while ensuring the quality and consistency of each action.
The plan is to invite and host five talented artists for a unique experience blending art, creativity, and blockchain. These artists, each specializing in different fields, will visit the surfboard factory where we’ll be shaping the Nounish surfboards. There, they will collaborate to develop exclusive graphics and designs for the boards, drawing 100% of their inspiration from the Nouns ecosystem including NFTs, traits, past works, and animations. The entire process will be filmed and presented as short form media, following the Nounish storytelling model.
Each artist will receive payment for their creations and will be guided by Zimardrp and Willdias, who will provide creative support, insights and onboarding. Together, we'll build a narrative that bridges handcrafted surfboards, art, and blockchain like never before. From this collaboration: Three surfboards will be donated to notable athletes, including:
For content creation, promotion, and engagement, we selected these surfer athlete artist friends based on their need for quality equipment and deep involvement in the sport. They actively compete, produce surf content, and embody the Nounish spirit. Among them is Ícaro, the reigning Brazilian Adaptive Surfing Champion, a seasoned female surfer with a great journey in global surf culture, and a young traveling grommet based in Indonesia, a hub of surf innovation. Equipping them with Nounish surfboards will elevate their content and amplify the project’s reach. In addition to the involvement of Zimardrp, surfers from Airdrop Culture, Matheus MAT and surfers from MazeSurfcrafts.

Ongoing Media and Communication: Continue the movement, warming up and managing the nogglesboard profile (branding, social media communication and partners). Turning the nogglesboard page into a standalone project, with the involvement of several people and a great track recording of the first project. Also Provide and work with Updates, Posts and general participation in our ecosystem as well as on our social media, reporting on the main events and developments, continuing the creativity and building on what we know. Expand this achievement to magazines and artistic print media.
Public Goods: Support the Kampala skate community, which has embraced GnarsDAO, FlowsWTF, and the Nogglesboard movement. Funds will be sent to Shredder Isaac, with Davin support if needed, to purchase skateboard decks and strengthen the local scene. Once acquired, the decks will be distributed with Nounish stickers and celebrated through a community event. Later, as they wear out, artist Will Dias will lead a recycling initiative, guiding the community via video call on upcycling them into new Nogglesboard models. To support this, a jigsaw will be acquired as part of the public goods effort, ensuring sustainability and continued creative expression.

The Nogglesboard Skate project, founded by professional skateboarder and artist Will Dias, has grown organically over the years, producing over 80 boards without funding, while promoting Noggles, recycling and creativity. In response to feedback from the last proposal, we will focus on producing Nogglesboard Surf while keeping skateboarding alive through a Public Goods initiative in light of the current situation, and also with high quality, inspired videoby the success of Disorder New York Project. These content will serve as key assets for the Nouns and Gnars ecosystem, showcasing the deep artistic and cultural connection between skateboarding and surfing.
Over time, the Nogglesboard movement has inspired global events, such as KSI Uganda Kampala Initiative handcrafted skateboard projects (watch here for better understood), as well as collaborations with PizzaDAO that have garnered attention both IRL and URL. Beyond the boards, Nogglesboards have been key interactive and artistic elements at meetups and events worldwide, decorating spaces with a Nounish and captivating vibe. This powerful blend of art, sport, and community makes Nogglesboard a project deserving of recognition and support.
Uganda faces constant challenges in obtaining skateboarding materials, as seen in the GIFs. Our commitment is to strengthen this local scene by ensuring skaters have access to the resources they need to grow. Our public good is dedicated to supporting the Uganda skateboarding community, providing essential equipment, and encouraging initiatives that can grow and create great impact. These resources not only boost skateboarding but also strengthen the local economy, with the purchase of materials made by Gnars shredders, including Isaac Huston and Epharaim Sylar, under the supervision of Davin Oyesigye.
In addition to ensuring skaters have the tools they need to progress (jigsaw-makita), express themselves, and innovate, we are providing 40 new decks, which, after use, will be repurposed into nogglesboards.
