Nouns Fund Healthcare :Rebuild a Nigeria village health centre to Nouns health centre

Description
TL:DR
We are seeking $152,906 USDC to modernize Robinyan Health Centre in Ogun State, Nigeria, by creating essential facilities and building more than 10 rooms including a reception area, waiting and consultation rooms, examination and treatment rooms, a laboratory/testing area, pharmacy/dispensing area, imaging room(s), patient recovery area, accessible restrooms for patients and staff, staff break room/lounge, office space for administration tasks, storage rooms for medical supplies,an Ambulance bus, toilets for staff and patients.

Story behind this prop

Robinyan health centre is a public health centre which is manage and controlled by the local government , king of robinyan land and local communities. Robinyan health center faces significant healthcare challenges due to limited access in rural areas, deteriorating facilities, inadequate resource allocation by the government, and insufficient health education, necessitating urgent investments to improve infrastructure and services.

In today's world, access to quality healthcare is essential for every community. We are excited to propose the construction of a new healthcare centre equipped with the latest medical technology and instruments. This facility will serve our community by providing essential health services, improving overall well-being, and ensuring that everyone has access to quality care.

Benefits of the Health Centre

  • Improved Access to Healthcare: Residents will have local access to necessary medical services without traveling long distances.

  • Latest Medical Technology: With cutting-edge equipment, we can provide better diagnosis and treatment options.

  • Community Wellness Programs: By offering educational programs on preventive care, we can promote healthier lifestyles in our community.

Artistic Impressions of What we plan to build

The project is expected to be completed within 6-12 months following the inaugural commissioning of the Nouns Health Centre.

Additionally, Nouns DAO Africa will produce a documentary film documenting the entire process of constructing the first Nouns Health Centre in Africa, which will be submitted to Nouns DAO as a proposal to secure funding for similar initiatives in the EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) regions.

Budget Breakdown

Our project is structured around five major milestones over a 12-month timeline:

Item 1: Project Planning + Architectural Fees (2 months)

  • Description: Survey land; create detailed architectural designs; select sustainable materials; modular prototyping.

The Project Planning and Architectural phase will be done by BIZNILAHI NIGERIA LIMITED

  • Survey Land:
    • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the project site to gather topographical, environmental, and legal information.
    • Identify natural features, soil conditions, drainage patterns, zoning regulations, and any potential restrictions or opportunities for construction.
    • Use surveys to establish clear boundaries and ensure the design aligns with the land's characteristics.
  • Create Detailed Architectural Designs:
    • Develop comprehensive blueprints and layouts that reflect the project's vision and functional requirements.
    • Incorporate structural, mechanical, and electrical details to ensure the plans are both aesthetically appealing and practical.
    • Align designs with sustainability goals, local building codes, and client specifications.
    • Provide 3D renderings or models to visualize the final structure.
  • Select Sustainable Materials:
    • Research and propose materials that minimize environmental impact, prioritize energy efficiency, and promote durability.
    • Ensure materials meet certifications for sustainability, such as LEED, FSC, or other green building standards.
    • Factor in cost-effectiveness, availability, and the environmental benefits of chosen materials.
  • Modular Prototyping:
    • Build scaled or full-size prototypes of modular sections of the structure to test functionality, assembly, and design accuracy.
    • Use prototypes to identify potential challenges, improve efficiency, and gather client feedback before full-scale implementation.
    • Ensure the modular approach aligns with the overall timeline and cost goals.

This phase ensures the foundation of the project is solid, addressing both the technical and creative aspects of design while prioritizing sustainability and efficiency.
